Dr Nick Baylis

Dr Nick Baylis is now working with In Equilibrium to provide corporate talks and workshops that foster profound improvements in personal and professional lives.

Nick, who lectures in this new field at Cambridge University’s Institute of Continuing Education, has written over 100 columns for The Times on The Science of Happiness.  Nick has worked with some of the UK’s leading organisations, from Channel 4 TV to Procter and Gamble, and from Credit Suisse to the Royal College of General Practitioners.

His blend of academic and corporate experience is entertaining, motivating and highly informative.   His presentations are tailor-made in content and length to meet the specific needs of your organisation.

Nick’s ideas encompass:

  • The well-being of individuals and teams in the workplace, with insights intended to promote healthier relationships, reduced absence, higher morale, and bring a profound sense of direction and progress.  This helps your organisation to creatively fulfil its legal duty of care.
  • How an awareness of well-being can help improve the design of products and services, by inspiring new approaches.
  • How widespread changes in a national sense of well-being can help explain market shifts on a local and global scale.
  • Nick also specialises in designing and implementing highly exploratory research, with an emphasis on qualitative investigations using in-depth interviews, focus groups, and sub-conscious approaches to understanding the driving dynamics.
