Managers Managing Stress (1-day)
A course for line managers that will enable them to reduce the risk of stress for both the people in their teams and the organisation.  Defining stress and reviewing the employer’s legal and HSE compliance responsibilities is covered first, followed by practical advice and frameworks that can be used to minimise the effect of specific stress situations.  Pressure Profiling, CUSP and Individual Stress Risk Assessment forms are included in the course toolbox.

Managers Managing Well-being (1-day)
This course focuses on how line managers can improve the well-being of the individuals in their teams.  A practical framework, looking at work pressures, employee behaviour, management skills and circumstances is used to generate strategies to enhance well-being.  The course is highly interactive and contains a variety of group and individual exercises, including case studies, scenarios, questionnaires, group discussion, personal reflection, and action planning.

Tools & Techniques for Individuals (half-day)
The purpose of this course is for the participants to understand the meaning of stress and how to differentiate it from pressure.  A toolkit of stress management techniques and exercises is provided for them to use in the work environment and in their own time.  The principle of the course is that because stress is subjective people need a variety of strategies to observe and understand in order to enable them to select those that will work best for them.

Practical Approaches to Handling Pressure (1-day)
This course is suitable for managers and employees at all levels in the organisation who want to increase their understanding of stress and its effects, and to develop strategies to enable them to cope with stress related issues.  The topics covered include well-being, the work-life balance and individual factors such as perception, which affect how we cope with excessive pressure.

Lifestyle Management (1-day)
A fascinating course designed and delivered by a medical Doctor who is also a former GP.  The course combines state of the art research with sound medical information to equip participants with the knowledge, tools and techniques to reduce their stress and boost their health and well-being.  How to recognize warning signs, work-life balance, and learning how to use switching-off skills to relax, recover and get a good night’s sleep are all included.    

Assertive Communication at Work (1-day)
This course will introduce a range of practical skills and useful techniques which will enable participants to communicate assertively in the workplace enhancing performance from an individual, team and organisational perspective.  It will help identify and assist individuals to apply assertive techniques appropriate for the working environment.  Improving people's ability to work together, negotiate and achieve workable compromises in a straight forward manner, this course enables individuals to communicate clearly and confidently, reducing conflict and creating a culture of open communication.
