Training Courses
We recognise that conflict management is an area organisations can be reluctant to tackle. However, the HSE Stress Management Standards highlight managers' responsibilities to create a workplace which is free from bullying and harassment.
We have developed four training courses, run by specialist trainers, which seek to address various aspects of conflict management within organisations. Our Trainers deliver knowledge and advice in a sensitive, confidential but highly successful manner using relevant scenarios and case studies. Recent feedback from our training has included comments such as: "The bullying in the workplace training went very well and I got everything I need to perform my role more effectively," and "Managing Difficult People has been an excellent course ... I received professional advice to tackle an awkward situation at work and resolved the issue."
Bullying in the Workplace Courses
We offer two bullying in the workplace courses; one for management and the other for employees. Both are aimed at understanding the fundamentals of workplace bullying and harassment and to explore and discuss good management practice in preventing or dealing with issues in the workplace. In a recent study, the CIPD has estimated that over 50% of stress cases at work involve bullying in the workplace and the increasing costs of compensation can be staggering; the existence of an in-house policy and the importance of being pro-active about such issues cannot be emphasised enough.
Conflict Management Training Courses
In Equilibrium also offers conflict management training courses which focus on specific areas to provide managers with proven strategies to deal with challenging behaviour in the workplace. Managing Anger in the Workplace offers proven strategies to help people manage their own anger as well as other people's both within and outside the workplace. Managing Difficult People provides an insight into what makes some people more difficult to manage than others and introduces tools and techniques to use in the workplace.
