HSE Health and Safety at Work - Summary Statistics for Great Britain 2022

The HSE published their latest health and safety at work statistics at the end of last year. They reveal that 17 million working days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2021/22. With this type of ill-health making up 51% of all cases of new and long-standing causes of work-related ill-health for the period.

Inclusion at Work 2022

This new report compiled by the CIPD in partnership with Reed presents a summary of what UK employers are doing in their workplaces to improve inclusion and diversity and the methods they have found to be effective. The full report and the executive summary are both available for download. They also make 7 recommendations for practice based on the report’s evidence.

Speaking Up Report

This new report from the Sutton Trust looks at accent bias and the impact it can have on a person’s life journey, including through education and experience within the workplace. 5 practical suggestions are included for all employers, beginning with a recommendation that action to tackle accent bias is seen as an important workplace diversity issue.

The Four Tendencies Quiz

Happiness and habit expert Gretchen Rubin developed the Four Tendencies personality framework. The quiz is available for free on her website and offers insight into how we respond to expectations from ourselves and others to help us more effectively achieve our aims and answer the question, “How do I get myself – and others – to do what I want?”
