If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, try resting your palms gently on either side of your face and spread your two smaller fingers across your closed eyelids. Concentrate on breathing deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth for a couple of minutes. This should have the effect of cocooning and quieting your mind.
When you feel ready to face the world again, you may feel as if you’ve just benefitted from a cuddle … you have, from yourself!
