Introducing 3 new courses to help workplace wellbeing

In this post we take a look at some new courses we have introduced to help workplace wellbeing:

  • Understanding Vicarious Trauma

  • Performance and Development Conversations Training for Managers

  • Constructive Conversations in the Workplace

We often find that courses which start out as a bespoke training requirement for a customer can be developed into a course with wider appeal. That has been the case with the following three training topics which we had received repeated requests about and have therefore decided to add generic versions to our workplace wellbeing training course repertoire.

Understanding Vicarious Trauma

Although the term was only derived in 1990, vicarious trauma has long been an occupational challenge for those working or volunteering in fields that have unremitting exposure to trauma and violence which can lead to a range of negative consequences.

This 2-hour course explores the impact on staff who support others with psychological trauma. The course helps learners to recognise the negative effects of vicarious trauma and to develop strategies to protect their wellbeing whilst enabling them to continue supporting others.

Performance and Development Conversations Training for Managers

A 3-hour course to help create awareness of the positive impact of coaching conversations. Learners will gain an awareness of how to approach conversations, encourage dialogue and feedback, use influencing styles to achieve outcomes, along with skills to handle potentially difficult situations.
Please note - a version of this course can also be delivered for employees.

Constructive Conversations in the Workplace

During this 3-hour workshop learners will focus on developing skills to have quality conversations that improve interaction, inclusion and performance. Suitable for both managers and employees, participants explore managing emotions, influencing others, and building trust that can improve outcomes even in pressurised situations.

If you would like to view all our training courses by subject area, they are listed here or please contact us with your enquiry, we'll be delighted to help.
