We may not think we’re very good at it but no-one need hear us. In various studies singing has been proven to improve mood and performance, reduce blood pressure, improve breathing and generally promote well-being. So next time you’re feeling tense or worried, find somewhere comfortable and try blasting out a happy tune. Remember, it’s not the listening but the taking part that counts!
