Lucinda Brown Douglas, a UKCP registered psychotherapist, is also a training consultant and clinical supervisor.  She has been facilitating groups for twenty-five years and working with individuals for over twenty.

Her main interests in groupwork are Dealing with Difficult Behaviour (DWDB) and Assertiveness.  In her DWDB workshops, she encourages participants to examine their own behaviour and their own part in confrontations and challenging situations.  She has developed two workshops, one concentrates on the many types of behaviour; how to deal with them; how to use assertive language; read body language; and develop rapport.  The second includes dealing with criticism – giving and taking – thinking skills and managing anger.

Lucinda encourages people to be creative with their solutions and helps them feel better about themselves.  She has also worked extensively in theatre and for many years was a member of the Theatre of Spontaneity which travelled in Europe and particularly Scandinavia.

What people say about In Equilibrium courses

Both groups have given me positive feedback about the professionalism of the tutor and were complimentary about her obvious subject knowledge. Members of the Heads of Section group were extremely enthusiastic - which was particularly valuable as they all come from a teaching / training background themselves.
