Inclusive Recruitment and Selection Training

In-House Training Courses > Inclusive Recruitment and Selection Training

This one-day course, facilitated by an HR and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion specialist, equips participants with the knowledge and skills to design and implement recruitment processes that attract, recruit, and retain diverse talent.

The Importance of Inclusive Recruitment and Selection Training

Inclusive recruitment practices enable organisations to attract diverse talent and potentially help with skills shortages. To appoint the best candidates, those responsible for developing recruitment strategies and making hiring decisions must ensure that their processes are accessible, structured, transparent and fair to all applicants. Recognising and mitigating unconscious bias is paramount to avoid discrimination and poor judgement in recruitment decisions.

Job applicants expect employers to demonstrate a clear commitment to inclusion and are attracted to work in psychologically safe workplaces where everyone feels they belong and differences are valued. A more diverse workforce helps organisations thrive and grow as it improves decision-making, innovation, retention, and company reputation. Making inclusive recruitment a priority and embedding Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) as a core component of any talent acquisition strategy is a win-win for any organisation.

What does that mean in practice when you have a vacancy to fill?

This practical and highly interactive one-day course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to consider ED&I at every stage of the recruitment process. From job description to onboarding, participants will gain insight into how they can change their existing practices to ensure an inclusive approach to recruitment and selection.
