Short Bitesize training courses

In-House Training Courses > Short Bitesize training courses

In addition to our 1-day and half-day training courses, we can deliver shorter, bitesize workshops across our full range of courses.

Context for Bitesize Workshops

These short sessions can be tailored to cover specific topics and are designed to make an impact in a short space of time. They are useful to include within a team away day or to deliver to a larger group than would typically attend a half or full-day training course.

Please find below some examples of the types of situations where we have delivered bitesize workshops and the topics they have covered:

Developing Resilience and Stress Management Techniques awareness sessions as part of school/college ‘inset’ training days

Topics covered in these sessions can range from focussing on improving existing resilience skills to spotting signs of stress and practising relaxation techniques. These workshops are highly effective in motivating delegates to review their personal self-care strategies and consider their aspirations for the forthcoming term.

Mental Health Awareness, 1-hour awareness session, for Partners in a Law firm who have limited time to attend a training course

For example, topics in this session included: what to look out for in yourself or team members; techniques for managing your own mental health; how to support someone with mental health issues.

Building Personal Resilience, a 2-hour session at the end of term for a College

The key messages delivered in this session were:

  • Research tells us that throughout our lives we will move to different areas of the psychological health spectrum.
  • Movement can occur because of pressurised times at work or home, or simply because of age or deterioration in physical health. It's a complex personal and changing picture.
  • Psychological resilience and robust mental wellbeing can act as a buffer to these inevitable challenging times.
  • Recent research confirms that awareness of the key resilience elements can boost personal application and effectiveness.

Unconscious Bias, 1.5-hour awareness session, for a large London-based organisation

This session provided an overview of the following:

  • What is meant by Unconscious Bias
  • Science and research behind Unconscious Bias
  • Unconscious Bias that could occur in the different stages of the recruitment process – from advertising, to short listing, interviewing and giving feedback
  • Consider strategies in managing biases

Who are bitesize workshops for?

Bitesize workshops are suitable for any organisation looking for a shorter awareness session of a particular subject, or a ‘taster session’.  They can be delivered over a lunchtime, or as a series of sessions during the day.

Course Content

The exact content for a bitesize workshop will be discussed.  It can be tailored to include elements from one of our existing training courses or can be designed to fulfill your specific criteria.

If you think a short course may provide a practical solution to your training requirement, please contact us for an informal discussion as to how we can help.
