The Office Team
In Equilibrium began in Edinburgh in 1998 and over the years has grown to the national training company it is today. Although still based in Edinburgh and Fife, we have a network of trainers working in all areas of the UK, as well as abroad when required. Two of the co-founders still run the company and head up the close, tight-knit team. They practice what they preach and the offices provide a happy, calm and efficient working environment. We hope this is reflected in the response you will receive from any of the five team members below, who are the voices you will hear should you wish to contact us.
Meet the team:
Alastair holds a passionate belief that the workplace should enhance the wellbeing of those employed within it. Following a successful career in accountancy, Alastair re-trained as a psychologist and co-founded In Equilibrium in 1998. His past corporate knowledge and experience ensures all our courses are devised, developed and delivered with feasibility, practicality and individual as well as organisational benefits in mind. He works closely with our customers and expert trainers to ensure customer expectations are fulfilled and their requirements fully met.
A behavioural scientist and co-founder of In Equilibrium. Jan has a fervent belief that a successful organisation is one which not only keeps ahead of its competitors and has a healthy bottom line but one which also places a high value on ensuring it has a healthy, engaged workforce. She enjoys discussing possible training solutions with customers and has a participative approach which ensures the relevant expert trainer is fully included in the process from planning through to delivery. Jan also oversees the operational, technical and marketing activities of In Equilibrium.
A firm believer and practitioner in achieving a healthy work life balance, Fiona is a hugely experienced finance administrator in both small and larger businesses. She has been looking after the financial aspects of In Equilibrium since the early days of the company. Fiona can answer any queries customers, trainers or staff may have of a financial, general or invoicing nature.
With a background in marketing for hotels and arts organisations, Amanda joined the company in 2003 when looking for a role that would flexibly fit around raising her young family … and she’s been with us ever since! She works on various marketing projects including writing and editing our blog articles and bi-monthly newsletter. Amanda’s always delighted to receive feedback and any contributions our readers would like to make.
After working in HR for several years, Ellie joined In Equilibrium when seeking a position without a commute and was attracted by the nature of our courses and their value to those in the workplace. As course administrator, she meticulously organises every detail of each training course, including liaising with our trainers to produce workbooks and ensuring each course organiser receives full post-training feedback from the participants.
