The Office Team

About Us > The Office Team

In Equilibrium began in Edinburgh in 1998 and, over the years, has grown to the national training company it is today. Although we are based in Fife, we have a network of trainers working in all areas of the UK and abroad, when required.

Meet the team:

Jan Lawrence

A behavioural scientist and co-founder of In Equilibrium, Jan is passionate about delivering wellbeing training and consultancy in the workplace and helping organisations protect the mental health of their employees. She enjoys building relationships with customers to find out their wellbeing priorities and develop training and consultancy solutions with the expertise of In Equilibrium's network of consultants. Jan enjoys engaging with customers, listening to their training needs, introducing                                             them to the trainer and overseeing the planning and delivery of training                                           and consultancy.

Fiona Brennan

A firm believer and practitioner in achieving a healthy work-life balance, Fiona is a hugely experienced finance administrator in small and larger businesses. She has been looking after the financial aspects of In Equilibrium since the company's early days. Fiona can answer any queries customers, trainers, or staff may have of a financial, general or invoicing nature.

Amanda Furness

With a background in marketing for hotels and arts organisations, Amanda joined the company in 2003 when looking for a role that would flexibly fit around raising her young family … and she's been with us ever since! She works on various marketing projects, including writing and editing our blog articles and quarterly newsletter. Amanda's always delighted to receive feedback and any contributions our readers would like to make.

Ellie McLavin

Ellie McLavin

After working in HR for several years, Ellie joined In Equilibrium when seeking a position without a commute and was attracted by the nature of our courses and their value to those in the workplace. As course administrator, she meticulously organises every detail of each training course, including liaising with our trainers to produce workbooks and ensuring each course organiser receives full post-training feedback from  the participants.
