Course Context

Like physical first aiders, mental health first aiders need to periodically refresh their skills.  Mental Health First Aid England recommends that both Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions undertake refresher training every 3 years.  This helps ensure their skills and knowledge are updated so they can provide their crucial role confidently and safely.

Refreshing the skills of both Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions also illustrates your organisation’s commitment to treating mental health and physical health equally.

  • Course Duration: 4 hours
  • Course Capacity: Numbers are limited to 25 people per course so that the trainer can keep delegates safe and supported while they learn.

"The Trainer was very engaging and it was great to be able to clarify the skills
we have learnt and know that we are supporting our people."

"Was great going through some of the basics of some of the illnesses and how to ask about them. I know that I used my skills since the original course but good to be able to ask questions and get an honest response from our amazing Trainer."

"You can tell how passionate the Trainer is, which is infectious, so even those who want to hide at the back want to join in. Some really useful new websites available too, which is good because so much has moved on since our original course. Thanks to all involved."
