Explore techniques to build resilience to help cope with the challenges of social work and protect your wellbeing

Our training courses are currently being delivered in a live, virtual, interactive format, in addition to onsite face-to-face training where appropriate. All of our training is facilitated by experienced subject experts.

Course Context

Resilience is the ability to handle change, stressful working environments and high demands without becoming overwhelmed, stressed or burnt out. Training to develop personal resilience is beneficial for anyone who wants to improve their ability to cope with the challenges of work and respond more positively to adversity. Building resilience is particularly helpful for social workers who handle high caseloads and work with vulnerable adults and children, often in crisis situations.

This resilience training course has been specifically designed to focus on the issues facing social workers and social care front line workers. In addition to being delivered to experienced social work professionals, this training has been included in the ‘Step Up to Social Work’ programme for trainee social workers. During the course delegates build up a collection of tools and skills that will help them cope with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, social pressures, and difficult emotions like anger and fear.

Duration: This course is delivered virtually over 2 half-day sessions. Each session is 3 hours with a 30 minute break.

Format: Virtual, live, interactive session

Delegate numbers: 12

Please contact us for information regarding availability and how we can tailor this training to meet your organisation’s requirements.
