An exceptional equality and diversity (E&D) professional with a high level of experience in developing and delivering training and consultancy for large corporate companies, public sector bodies (e.g. local government, NHS, Colleges and Housing Associations), and the voluntary sector, both in the UK and internationally.
Asari has over 25 years of public service, where he was consistently involved in developing and advising on E&D strategies, initiatives and assessments at senior level. This includes setting up staff networks; recruitment initiatives including positive action; training for staff and C-Suite leaders in E&D, Unconscious Bias, Inclusive Leadership; mentoring and coaching programmes for staff and C-Suite leaders; facilitating role plays & awaydays; assessing and advising organisations; conference speaking; report writing; and service inspections.
Asari is passionate about helping organisations improve their approach to diversity by combining his wealth of experience with powerful tools and best practice in equality, diversity and inclusion. Asari has delivered high-profile presentations on equality and diversity to Boards, Senior Management Teams, large corporate audiences, conferences, whole staff teams and departments. This includes presenting positive and critical messages with recommendations on implementation.
Facilitated Board and Senior Management Team focus groups and workshops to identify key strengths and weaknesses and opportunities for improvement and change in relation to E&D.
A wide range of experience facilitating training and planning, including board members, senior managers, employees, focus groups, mentoring sessions, and customer-based consultations.
Led organisational change and provided assessments of organisational effectiveness to senior managers, Board members and political leaders. This includes reports on the organisation’s corporate competence, competence in equality and diversity, governance and risk management.
