In the course of a year, one in four people will experience a mental health problem. The Workplace Mental Health Aware half-day introductory session is designed to:

This 4-hour course is suitable for anyone in the workplace who wants to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing awareness.
The Workplace Mental Health Aware half-day course will teach participants to:
The training session will be a mix of presentations, group discussion and workshop activities. The instructor provides a very safe learning environment and is trained to support delegates throughout the whole course.
On completion of the course, delegates will receive a MHFA manual to refer to whenever they need it, a workbook which includes a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health and an attendance certificate from MHFA England to say they are Mental Health Aware.
Workplace Mental Health First Aid 2-day course
Some organisations will encourage all employees to attend the Workplace Mental Health Aware half-day course, with some participants then going on to attend the Workplace MHFA 2-day course, which will qualify them as Mental Health First Aiders.

As basic training for all in mental health awareness is considered good practice, this course is suitable for anyone working in a team environment. Focusing on the most common mental health problems, the training includes recognising signs and symptoms and advice on practical strategies to support others.
Completion of this 1-day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies participants as adult MHFA Champions. The session is built around a mental health first aid action plan and includes a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.
Enlightened employers are now highlighting first aiders for both physical and mental health in the same way. This course is designed to teach participants how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health together with a set of skills which enables them to support someone experiencing mental health issues.
